Giuliani Is Cautious (indecisive?) as He Weighs ’08 Decision
NY Times ^ | SAM ROBERTS

Posted on 01/27/2007 2:26:06 PM PST by narses

Rudolph W. Giuliani, who developed a national reputation for decisive and reassuring leadership after 9/11, now faces the odd challenge of having to reassure some supporters that he can be decisive about a very different issue: running for president. Even as his fellow Republican John McCain and fellow New Yorker Hillary Rodham Clinton have all but formally declared their candidacies, Mr. Giuliani has proceeded more cautiously.

I have answered your question, and asked you to stop with this line of questioning, why must you be a jerk?

If I brought a clue, I would have to give it to you out of pity.

That's only half true. Goldwater was, in his later career, pro-choice and pro-gay, that's true, but he wasn't always that way.

And I've seen no evidence that Goldwater hated Reagan, but Nixon is true. He hated Nixon because he was far too liberal. Nixon was to the WH what Arnold has become to California: good ideas, usually, but tries to appease the left. It never works.

I am an atheist.

I do not like the dopers, the perverts, the gun-grabbers, the border crashers, the baby killers or the other filth.

I am voting on the issues, not for an empty suit with a fancy Madison Avenue designer label.

Rotting the country from the inside out does nothing for national security.

I am not stuck in an argument, sunsong won't stop with the same irrelevant question.

You've gone to the mods on way less, BS.

I am intelligent enough to not need pity from inferior people.

After you explain how he'll handle that, tell us how he gets past the NRA and the GOA and all their motivated habitual one-issue voters.

This is a point that seems to get lost in all the talk about abortion. Giuliani is even to the left of many Canadians on gun registration, who are trying to abolish their gun registry.

He would be a disaster as a candidate, because his many liberal/leftist views would pretty much guarantee a significant third-party candidate.

Admin moderator, please tell sunsong to stop harassing me with the same stupid line of questioning I have already answered.

I had requested the poster stop, but they have refused to. I didn't want to go this route, they played that hand.

Then stay away from harassing the Rudy supporters.

Like to dish it out but can't take it? LOL!!!

Oh boy. You get stuck in an argument and you call the mods?

LOL - not too conservative, is it? Some of these folks have never considered living by the principles they espouse :-)

If Clinton could somehow run again as a Republican, there'd be no shortage of FReepers supporting him.

Sorry, missed this one earlier.

Please tell me how the federal government and the POTUS can stop gays from having anal sex?

Ridiculous premise, but I'll answer anyway. They cannot, but actively supporting and promoting the lifestyle the way Rudy has makes it easier for them to try to normalize it, and allows them more accesss to young children, and do sick stuf like teaching fisting to kids in schools like GLAD/GLSN doesn in newton and other massachusetts towns.

For me, it's quite the opposite. I'd like to learn all hunters weak points ahead of time before I debate some Lib. Freepers are great at this, and I'd like to see some of it, if there is anything to beat hunter down on.
