With regards to rest of the GOP contenders, like Hunter, Brownback etc, if the polls are any indication, they aren't going anywhere. Some may argue that in 2 years a lot of GOPers will know more about them, but they aren't Ronald Reagan. As a well known actor and later the Governor of California, Reagan was already a well known figure. The same is the case with Rudy, as he's known by America because of his outstanding conduct during 9/11. No one needs to tell people who Rudy is, everyone knows him and the liberal media, their pundits and the rest of the Rats know this as well.
Having an unknown winning the primaries will get the CONS patting themselves in the back, and thats about it.
I agree. The democrats have learned from their mistakes, so conservatives expecting them to fall flat on their arses in the House are being unrealistic. I'd be surprised if the GOP wins back 6-7 of the House seats they lost.
In any event, they want desperately to control the presidency and the Congress. Rudy, if he can get the nomination, appears to have as good a chance as any to have a large base of support among Republicans, Independents, and dems perhaps disenchanted with the dem nominee.
Wait and see.
