Orange County is also the wealthiest county in the state.

I doubt that.

Lead the way to reviving the moribund Guild. We got to have SOME fun during the next 2 miserable years.

I was born there and went to school there. As a county, it is definitely the high rent district for NC.

Last I looked, it had, by far, the highest per capita income of any county in the state.

Just remember that in John Edwards' "two Americas" the elites like himself are exempted from criticism.

Looked like furniture floor displays. Rooms-to-Go?

I live one county over; it is most certainly NOT the highest rent in NC. Most of the county above I-85 is farms and poor people.

Do you have a link to that information, because what I am seeing doesn't mention anything about Orange County.

10K- sheesh 5K would be a big house.
28K is just wasteful in every sense of the word.

Might have changed. I just did a quick check and found Mecklenburg and Wake counties made the top 100 counties in per capita income in the country.

FWIW - 9 of NJs 21 counties made the top 100.

We're 28th in "wealth" -- whatever the hell that is.

FWIW, Rex, North Carolina has the highest per capita income; I have NO idea where that even is.

Just remember that people like us really have no business even contemplating what our enlightened leaders do in their private lives. :-)

Robeson Co. of all places.

It looks like a one stoplight town on NC 20 just west of I95 between Lumberton and Fayetteville.

Rex, NC

I thought there was nothing there except Indians.....LOL.

It looks like those are some kind of census areas; really weird.

Lumbee Indians make up over 38% of the population in Robeson County. Far as I know there is no casino there, so what is the source of wealth?

Beats me too!

I really have no idea. The Lumbee aren't even federally recognized as a tribe, are they?
