Orange County is also the wealthiest county in the state. I doubt that.

Lead the way to reviving the moribund Guild. We got to have SOME fun during the next 2 miserable years.

I was born there and went to school there. As a county, it is definitely the high rent district for NC.
Last I looked, it had, by far, the highest per capita income of any county in the state.

Just remember that in John Edwards' "two Americas" the elites like himself are exempted from criticism.

I live one county over; it is most certainly NOT the highest rent in NC. Most of the county above I-85 is farms and poor people.
Do you have a link to that information, because what I am seeing doesn't mention anything about Orange County.

Might have changed. I just did a quick check and found Mecklenburg and Wake counties made the top 100 counties in per capita income in the country.
FWIW - 9 of NJs 21 counties made the top 100.

We're 28th in "wealth" -- whatever the hell that is.
FWIW, Rex, North Carolina has the highest per capita income; I have NO idea where that even is.

Robeson Co. of all places.
It looks like a one stoplight town on NC 20 just west of I95 between Lumberton and Fayetteville.
Rex, NC

Lumbee Indians make up over 38% of the population in Robeson County. Far as I know there is no casino there, so what is the source of wealth?

I really have no idea. The Lumbee aren't even federally recognized as a tribe, are they?

Man of the people. I feel your pain. My dad worked in a sawmill. I'm the first person in my family with the biggest home in my county. LOL
