Ping
I truly hope they throw the book at these freaks...
And let us not forget that HSUS, the Humane Society of the US, shares PETA's dangerous ideals.
Have they gone after the vet that sold them the drugs?
bttt!
There was a little girl standing in the front as well. And the little girl had adopted the brother of one of the kittens. And she was looking at the kittens. And Ms. Hinkle looked at her and said: "We'll have no problem placing, we'll have no problem helping these cats"
At that point, Ms. Hinkle and Mr. Cook left, they took the cats, left, went out and got back in the van.
Those cats ended up in a trash dumpster less than an hour later.
It's about time they cook in their own stew.
BTW, Haven't seen anything on this in the MSM.
Sickos.
Like the Nazis, they try to turn children against their parents.
PETA Nazi's propaganda designed to traumatize children and turn them against their parents.
Bump
I expect this to come out, if a crime was committed regarding the pentobarb. I hope they will be charged if they obtained or possessed it illegally.
Since you both asked this question, I'm going to put you on my ping list for this trial. If you want off just post here or freepmail me.
Every time I read another PETA story I want to go out and eat a burger.
OK
"Pentobarbital sodium injection is subject to control by the Federal Controlled Substances Act under DEA schedule II."These means that it has very strict storage and inventory requirements. Veterinarians who use it must receive special licensing from the DEA, their professional licenses and degrees are insufficient to allow them to purchase or use the drug.
"Other Schedule I & II drugs... Any amountWouldn't you just LOVE to see PETA hit with these kind of fines?
"First Offense: Not more that 20 yrs. If death or serious injury, not less than 20 yrs, or more than Life. Fine $1 million if an individual, $5 million if not an individual.
"Second Offense: Not more than 30 yrs. If death or serious injury, not less than life. Fine $2 million if an individual, $10 million if not an individual."
"Any idea how Hinkle and Cook got hold of pentobarb, a controlled substance? Could you have someone ask the DA if they will be charged with drug possession?"
and I got this reply:
"Drug charges are highly unlikely. In his opening statement yesterday, PETA lawyer Blair Brown said that Hinkle ws certified by the state of Virginia to perform animal euthanasia. PETA also has a DEA license to obtain and dispense the euthanasia drugs. Such licenses require the oversight of a veterinarian, however, and to my knowledge PETA doesn't have any on staff. (They likely have one on speed-dial as a consultant, but nobody has identified just who that might be.)
Thanks for your interest."
bttt!
THANK YOU for pointing that out. I try to on all PETA threads, but nobody seems interested. You'd be surprised how many freepers think the HSUS is a great organization.
Check the names of the PETA leaders and those of the HSUS and often you'll find the same people.
Bottom line: If you took all the billions of $$$$ the HSUS, PETA, and the dozens of other organizations raise annually and spent it on spay/neuter programs, there WOULDN'T be an animal overpopulation problem. None of these organizaions spend any money helping the local shelters -- those volunteers/workers are on their own.
