I really have no idea what Scientology entails (as far as the worship etc part). I know there is a center on the west side of Manhattan (in the theater district) and they put folks through this so-call psychology testing (they call it clearing)--for a price of course. I have seen Hubbard's book around, but never bothered to do anything with it except for a brief perusal. Fill me in folks.
Check out the link in post #1.
Basically, it looks like Hubbard took one of his science fiction stories and turned it into a religion. He didn't even use one of his better stories either.
I flirted with the organization back in 1968 for a minute.
Don't laugh folks.I also flirted with SDS and the John Birch Society along my journeys.
Anyway,Scientologists believe all your problems stem from"engrams",or negative messages you got while in mom's womb. The whole Scientology program is designed to free you from the engrams so you can attain a level of being where you can do anything you wish, including leaving your body at will.
The only thing I ended up leaving was $150 in L. Ron's coffers.
