WRONG. What it says is that mars is warming and man made co2 is not the cause. Earth could still be warming via man made co2, via the sun, or some combination of the two and/or other factors.

Uhhh.... No, not really. The increased output of the sun is causing the polar ice on Mars to shrink. The SAME increased solar output MUST be affecting Earth. It is impossible for increased solar output to be reaching Mars, but not Earth. (In fact, if you know anything about electromagnetic radiation, the power of the sun's rays fall off with the square of the distance, and the same is true for any increase as well. Any effect on Mars therefore must equal a far greater effect on Earth, because Earth is significantly closer to the sun then Mars.)

While one can hypothesize any cause for alleged global warming in the absence of such evidence, once it is known that the sun is -- in fact -- causing the polar ice cap to shrink on Mars, the same must be true of the Earth.

Proponoents of global warming hysteria suggest an increase of only 0.6 degrees Celsius from global warming.

We know that the increased solar energy is sufficient -- at a much greater difference -- to melt the polar ice on Mars.

Therefore, the increased solar energy MUST have an equally powerful effect on the Earth, and an even greater effect (because of the lesser distance).

This leaves no room for any other cause. We cannot be observing the sun "plus" something else. There is not enough room in the observed 0.6 degrees Celsius to allow for BOTH the sun plus something else as well. We already see that the global warming hysteria models predict temperature increases much TOO high, and do not track with reality. If we now have to squeeze that down even further, the models are completely discredited.

As to the title, the trouble is that I was summarizing 5 different articles all on the same subject.

Just finished reading Michael Crichton's State of Fear -- and I recommend it to all. Altough it is fiction, it is based on extensive research into the theory and political application of "Global Warming".

The footnotes and references exposing the left's manipulation of statistics to achieve a "State of Fear" are quite revealing.

The energy must come from the sun or from radioactivity.

Other effects can only be short term.

However, the significance of the article is that it demonstrates (to those who ignored the fact) that climates change without any interference from vectors such as human activity.

This is mainly inconsequential as 'climate change' is not about science but about politics: Eco-Marxism. 'The environment' is merely the vehicle used to camoflage the self-interest of the Eco-Marxists. It is much easier to promote one's politics-of-envy when it is camouflaged as the protection of innocents: The fluffy bunnies. Eco-Marxists like to pose as protecting fluffy bunnies from evil capitalists and Big Oil but their real objectives is the same as any other Marxist: To relieve their own psycho-pathogens, to relieve their own angst at the social-voltage which capitalism induces in those who are less successful.

Climate change Millenarianism is nothing new. It goes back much longer than the 1970s global cooling model:
