Has Common Tator left for good? I read with dismay & deep sadness his goodbye on Jan 20th, in the thread of "A day in the life of President Bush 1.19.07".

He has so much common sense and wisdom. I share his posts with friends and family for his remarkable insights.

Please remind him not to let a few keep him from responding for the good of the many.

I know as soon as I read your post about his need for prayer, I prayed for his return to good health and rejoiced when he was able to post again.

Free Republic just won't be the same...

I had hoped to leave this site with no problems. I should have just stopped posting and never have posted again. Much of this situation can be blamed on me. I should have just stopped posting. In retrospect I certainly wish I had. But I didn't. I said goodbye. Dumb move on my part.

The actions of Wolfstar since I announced I was leaving FR have really disappointed and angered me. I had hoped to refrain from expressing my reasons but the situation changed much for the worse tonight.

Wolfstar this evening managed to get Lisa Malia to try to act as a mediator. Talk about motivating me to get out and stay out... That act really reinforced my negative opinion of the powers that be on FR.

Wolfstar in a freep mail to Lisa asked her to intervene. Wolfstar told Lisa that removing my posts was no big deal. Wolfstar exercised the right to do so .. "in order to be fair"... Those were the words what Wolfstar wrote to Lisa.

I spent a lot of time thinking things through to come to logical and supportable positions. In the newspaper world a columnist's full time job typically requires him or her to write one column a week. I often wrote several a day.

Only after I spent the time to create a piece did I post it on FR. There was a lot of time, thought and effort involved in creating a commontator post. Before I posted I considered the reasons for my conclusions. I also considered what opposition posters might use to rebut my post. That takes time and effort.

But Wolfstar thinks throwing one of my posts away is no big deal. Let me say, it may not be a bit deal to Wolfstar but it is a huge deal to commontator.

I would also like to say that upon occasion I did come to conclusions that did not support the president, those conclusions were not posted. This was supposed to be a site supporting conservatives and this thread is supposed to be supporting President Bush. That is what I thought .. but I was wrong.

Free Republic has become a Bush Bashing site. Even this thread has proved it will remove a Pro Bush post.. "in order to be FAIR" to an anti-bush position poster.

But this last episode of trying to use my personal relationship with Lisa to influence me is beyond the pale. Quite frankly it disgusts me. This intervention in my personal life is something I will never forgive and never forget.

Don't misunderstand me. Wolfstar has ever right to censor what I write. Wolfstar has every right to contact Lisa. I have every right to never post on FR again and try to tell you why.

All trying to get Lisa into the middle of this accomplished was to convince me that my decision to permanently get away from such people is a very good decision.

Don't bother replying to me.. I will not read it. I am logging off in a few seconds.. I will never log on again.
