Might not Hillary be the hardest-ass against terrorists than anything we'd get from Bush/Cheney?

If the terrorists call her an enemy, won't they also end up like Vince Foster, etal?

Seriously. She'll have the MSM behind her moves every step of the way, the feminists will 'suddenly' be outraged by Islam's treatment of women, the peaceniks will be silent, basking in the glow like last time that those are "our planes now."

Osama should be more scared of her than we are, dontcha think?

>Supposedly earlier than expected, but Hilary needs to tamp down Obama's surge.

Totally correct and amazingly foolish.

Obama is this month's/season's media-generated flash in the pan and Hillary used a big chip against him way too early.

Ram Obama Ding Dong is nothing more than the latest iteration of Wesley Clark, Dr. Dean, and a half dozen other monthly media darlings.

Now, what will she do when Edwards gets some serious mojo going?

Very nice list. Unfortunately, "conserative" was the only word missing from it. That said, she's easily the most polarizing person in American politics and she'll bring out broken-glass voters by the thousands.

That Suzy Homemaker, sitting on a Chinz sofa was too much for me.... I'm afraid I will become physically ill just listening to her for the next two years.

Obama has plenty of ammo, there can be no excuses on his part, for not being able to attack Hillary.

He should have a press conference at Fort Marcey Park!

You are correct Sir - a gross oversight, but let me state that any candidate with those attributes would naturally be a conservative:)

I'm disturbed by the number of FReepers who don't take Mrs. Clinton seriously. She's been in the US Senate for several years, accomplishing next to nothing, and yet, is leading all of the Dem polls. I know, name recognition, blah, blah. She'll have the money, intimate knowledge of how to wage a campaign and the undying support of the MSM. Remember, not everybody in the country spends hours a day on the internet carefully researching and analyzing the news from a variety of sources. Many will hear the Hillary commercials (AKA "the news") from the MSM and swallow it whole. Let's also not forget the hatred of W among the Left in this country. After losing two close Presidential elections and realizing huge success in the last mid-term, their base will be motivated and optimistic. Combine that with the poor current leadership in the GOP and the potential for a nominee (Giuliani & McCain) that the Right will have trouble supporting, and you've got yourself a serious challenge. If a somewhat legitimate third candidate gets into the race, the situation will likely go from bad to worse. I still think we will retain the WH in 2008, but I think one of the few paths that could lead to defeat is the underestimation of the challenge a Clinton/Obama ticket will present. The fact that more Americans (Left & Center) have not already concluded that the election of the first female President during wartime might be a bad idea, is evidence of how seriously Mrs. Clinton's candidacy should be taken.

No slap against you, of course. I just hope we see a candidate that can unite our base. My best to you.

Worst case scenario - but we have to be prepared for it and maintain our American optimism.

These last few years of W's presidency have been painful - listening and reading the liberal media, hearing the vengeful, ignorant Dems attacking him for breathing.

Perhaps we will be able to take a measure of satisfaction in watching President Rottenhamhocks prove what a disaster Socialism is for this bastion of Freedom. Then we'll have to mop up her mess for the next decade (vis a vis Reagan after Carter)

The tone I don't like, and the only tone I have heard from her campaign so far, is that she intends to reverse the damage done to somebody or other during the last six years of the Bush Presidency. That is very tiresome since it is also the main characteristic of the Bill Clinton presidency--the claim that damage is being undone, and from the first day to the last day from dawn til dusk and in every Cabinet post. Can't Clintons do something positive of their own?

No.

Newt was the only one with vision in Clinton's 8 years - Clinton had nothing - just took credit for what went well and took no blame for his mistakes.

Sandy Berger has the goods - he needs to be water-boarded by the FBI before he takes a picnic in the park.

Depends what 'is' is. Wouldn't Federalization of 14% of the economy, like Hugo Chavez, be a positive?
