Help me out here, Guys

My Husband and I are trying to figure out if Pete Young was the XO at the time of the accident. In another article, it stated this:

The sub’s XO, or executive officer, was previously scheduled to rotate off the boat anyway to take a new assignment, Servello said. Citing privacy reasons, Servello would not release his name, but a Navy website listed the second-in-command as Young.

We already know that Pete has been selected for Cmdr but we're trying to find out if he already transferred before the accident.

Yes, he was the XO during the incident. The PXO was on board too, but they hadn't turned over yet.
