A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 1.19.07

I found no new photos of the president today but there are some photos of Laura in Paris, at the conference on Missing and Exploited Children. As Tony Snow's assistant conducted the press briefing today, and the State of the Union address is next Tuesday, January 23rd at 9:00 PM EST, it seems likely it is crunch time for getting the address ready.

Defense Secretary Gates continues his visit to Iraq, in Basra and Talil, where he is being briefed.

Jay Hein, Director of the WH Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, discussed the President's compassion agenda and the recently launched Compassion in Action Roundtables.

Text of Dana Perino's press briefing today (information on SoTU).

Hi, again. My hubby just reminded me that Medshop Express.com is where we now get the Basis Soap! It's even more reasonable there. Good luck with your allergies. Got any cures/treatments for ezcema? Hubby suffers from it.

I have eczema too DCMB. Does the soap - Basis - help ease that?

Unfortunately, it doesn't cure it but we are convinced that Basis soap is a much better soap than any other out there. We have found the only way to ease my husband's ezcema is to go to Hawaii for a month!! There, the combination of sun, sea water, humidity, lack of stress seems to do the trick. (I'm trying to convince him to spend the entire winter there:-)) Also, he now uses Johnson’s baby shampoo because any others seemed to really cause problems.

Does anyone else know your FR password?

Oh how interesting! Not that I know of, and I didn't type it myself. Not complaining, just don't know how it got there. Actually if I had written one myself I wouldn't have chosen that one anyway since it really doesn't make much sense.

Hmmmm you know what, some time ago I wrote snugs and asked her if she would post a picture of Barney from me, and after she graciously did, I think that was an answer she wrote me.

Did you get to meet him?

No, just second hand accounts from those that did. ;*(

However, their details and enthusiasm made it seem as though I was there. ;*)

I suspect you typed that comment in the tagline box instead of your reply box

Don't think so Snugs. I just answered Gretchen, and told her I remembered asking if you could please post a picture I had found of Barney and Pres. Bush, and if I'm not mistaken that was an answer you wrote a long time after when someone remarked about the picture. It was the one where he was hold Barney and trying to salute at the same time. The other thing is I don't spell "favorite" with the "u".

As I said it's no big deal I certainly don't care-- just a "mystery".

Thanks Kitkat. As I told Snugs, I know I didn't write it since I don't use that spelling of favorite. Again, no big deal, just an interesting mystery.

Thank you for the great post. A few comments, if I may.

They keep saying that Iraq is another Vietnam. Is it?

No, it is not.
However, since November 7th they have been ratcheting up the efforts to turn it into Vietnam.

Where are the riots.. Where are the tens of thousands of protesters marching in the streets. Where are the huge protests of the war in Iraq?

They are coming to DC next Saturday. They estimate 100,000 will attend. There are buses charted to bring the commies in from Chicago, New York and other points I cannot remember at this time.

You can check here for updates: D.C. Chapter's Winter Patriots Rally for Op. Iraqi Freedom and 'Antiwar' Counter 1/27/07

Where are the Kent States with the National Guard called out in order to maintain order on college campuses.

Many subversive and criminal activities have been taking place all across the nation for some time now. Are they large scale at this time? No, but Kent State did not occur at the beginning of their efforts.

There are only a few and they are mostly conducted by 60 something hippies... But we know that what they do stinks.

The 60's commies are certainly the ones behind organizing their activities, but there are plenty of young people involved and being recruited on our campuses today. Yes, we know what they do stinks. The question is; what do WE plan on doing about it before their "movement" attains Vietnam era results?

What we have is primarily the media and academia that are really opposed to the war in Iraq.

Primarily? Perhaps
Subject to change? Definitely!

The time to act is NOW before they claim, "Mission Accomplished"

Thanks. I know what made me so upset. Someone called for hubby from out of state. They did not even pronounce his name right. They called back 2 times today. I let the poor guy have it on the last call. Maybe he got the message! I sure hope so.

The president just sends a message to terrorist supporting nations (yes even in this war there are lines of communication open) that a second attack on the USA will result in a nuclear attack on every Muslim country that has harborewd terrorists. They have been told that the president is prepared to kill a huge number of Muslims if they do another attack.

I have believed for a long time that the President has sent such a message. But I think that there is more to the message. Some time ago the President said that we now have the capability to target individual leaders and not just their armies. I think that included in the message is the threat that if there is another attack the dictator of each country and his staff will be wiped out. We know where they are and they can't hide in bunkers. These dictators don't care about their own people but they do care about their own hides.

Good evening, everyone. Sorry the Dose update is late today. I had to go into my office for a few hours to make up for time lost earlier in the week. There are only a tiny number of new photos today, so I'm doing an update today and will post a full Dose tomorrow.
