I think you might be onto something.
The website still has the same graphics it did during the auction:
This domain name is finally
available for purchase!
If interested, contact:
Jody Denise
417-B Foothill Blvd., #282
Glendora, CA 91741
Phone: (323) 687-8651
The eBay transaction itself does not appear to have been completed. There is still a '0' feedback rating for Jody Denise, who was the person selling the account. The purchaser, who had a '0' feedback rating when the auction closed now has a feedback rating of '1', but that is from another transaction.
Now, a transaction can occur with neither party leaving feedback - but who pays $25,200 for a website and then leaves up the previous owners 'for sale' sign?

I e-mailed Allah and Michelle at HotAir about this, hoping their investigative skills could uncover the truth - no replies - but I'm sure their hands are full. My own personal inquiries about the currnet availablity of the site went unanswered.
Anyone else care to take a shot at getting to the bottom of this alleged transaction?
On a related note, impeachgeorgebush.org was also put up for auction. This site being put up for auction was accompanied by a press release at emediawire.

The auction just ended hours ago, you think there will be a press release announcing there were ZERO bids generated?
