To: Tax-chick
Kinda starting to sound like Ready, Steady, Cook! Kind of a combination game show and cooking program. Contestants would show up with some combination of cheap ingredients, and then they had 20 minutes to come up with a meal, with the help of a professional chef. They had the use of a kitchen stocked with basic ingredients like salt and spices, but otherwise, they used what they brought. Interesting the combinations they came up with!

I used to watch it when I was overseas...and also taped it for the younger folks back home. I think I was the only one taping stuff for the homefront instead of the other way around. ;-)

I remember an American version of that show, from when we had cable with The Food Network. It was fun!

Kids can live on cereal, but my husband expects something like actual food.
