The press is fickle. It's entirely possible that they will flock to a new flavor-of-the-month between now and the primaries.

I would have said that several months ago, but we are coming up to a period of years now; the love affair began almost as soon as Dr. Keyes was drafted in, and national attention focused on the 2004 Illinois Senate Race.

I also believe that many in the media are so desperate for a Democrat saviour that they'll even cling to an empty suit.
