People were amazed when I told them I set my air conditioner at 85 (cause it took a lot of power to get that house down from 90...it was a big house)...but I had the winter thermostat set at 55 or 60 (two furnaces - one at 55, another at 60). Seemed reasonable to me...

My husband has finally gotten me to agree to keeping the air conditioner set at 78...but that is with all of the ceiling fans going!!
We keep the heater set at 62.
