An interesting piece of data. The Hebrew terms ben(01121) 'elohiym(0430) are only found together in 4 verses of the Old Testament. They are always used to indicate angels.

Read Genesis again. But this time wherever you see the word God/Elohiym read it as Gods or Race of Gods and wherever you read Lord God/El Elohiym read it as "the leader of the God or Race of Gods" After having done this revisit your inquiry into Nephilim.

Kind of interesting when viewed this way. Further this plural take on Elohiym is consistent with earlier and similar Sumerian/Egyptian genesis like renditions.

If man was made in Gods' image then perhaps their images were/are alike enough such that a union of both could give rise to a viable amalgam - (i.e. nephilim). Reading Genesis can be a real trip. And, depending upon how it is read, it reveals frightening possibilities.
