This may very well be the most dangerous, long term, aspect of "teaching the republicans a lesson" this last election. These people require the government and the courts to mandate what they can't get the voter to accept.

I hope someone is keeping a list.

"Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of a religion, nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof, nor prohibiting the freedom of speech, or of the press, or of the freedom of the people to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

This most basic and inviolate of the laws has been thrown under the bus. Those that did it are subject to the worst punishment under the law.
