I think it is quite possible and even fairly probable she had a baby. Were people to know that, this idea that the man who did this 'is not fit to stand trial' wouldn't wash as it does today.

I also think it is quite possible she went willingly in the begining and then felt compelled to stay as a result of the pregnancy. Please understand that responsibility and blame are two different things. Though sometimes people do hold both.

Lets say for a minute that she, or this boy, were willing participants in the very begining, not understanding fully the long term results of their actions, thus holding responsibility as opposed to blame. Wouldn't it be better to tell people the whole story outright so the most can be learned from such tragedies?

Maybe it is just but a pipedream but I have this crazy notion that more information is better than less information. Assumption isn't exactly the best teaching tool. Seems to me that blunt truth, even when painful and ugly, does alot better job.

When Shawn was 1st reported missing, LE got a 911 call about a child tied up in a pickup truck. They couldn't locate the truck......doesn't sound like "willing" to me.

Elizabeth Smart decided to willingly become the sex slave of a demented, smelly freak?

I believe the only "details" we should even care about are how these POS were able to grab these kids and what did they tell them in order to keep them from seeking help. All the other details are irrelevent except to LE and the DA in order to pile up as many charges as possible.

There is just no excuse for your ignorance, really, it was in the media and the internet. Elizabeth Smart didn't try to escape because her captors brutalized her and told her they would do her sisters and her cousin the same. She believed them and thought she was keeping her family safe.

Your presumption about her is sickening and totally ignorant. Pregnancies take 40 weeks. ES was captive almost 40 weeks to the day. The idea that ES could have given birth in the week before she was rescued is ludicrous and highly improbable.

I find people like you who can't accept truth and just have to believe that there "must be more to the story" are nothing more than ignorant paranoid gossips projecting their crap onto these victims. Just shut your piehole.

ok, i just read this post. Now I think your nuts! You think ES had a baby? There was no time for her to have a baby and if her kidnapper had gotten her pg it was by rape, but she never had a child! She was goen for 9 months. From the time you get pg it takes a full 10 months for a child to come into the world. Your sick to think she had a baby! This is the first time I have heard anyone think this. There is no evidence of this. Pictures taking of ES with her kidnappers along the way never show her looking pg one bit.
