Is there any indication of sexual abuse?
Nothing that I have read so far. Maybe other FReepers have some information. When the story initially broke and it was learned that there were two boys, that was my first thought. There may have been a sexual abuse motive.
I saw John Walsh on TV this morning, he doesn't have any doubt that there was.
The guy had kiddie porn on his computer. Neighbors heard screams, whimpering, banging etc.
horrible to think about but I suspect the question most often posed in these cases is "is there the possiblity that there was no sexual abuse"
these preditors should be gelded while waiting for the trial to determine if they should be executed.
Well Devlin the kidnapper had 3 guns , ( & on a link on Drudge ) DEVLIN the kidnapper had TONS of Child Porn on his computer

I've seen a recent photo of him, and his eyes look -for the lack of a better word- dead. He knew how to reach his parents, and did so under an alias, with no effort to go back to them. He also knew, from the website, that they were desperate to find him, so the story about Devlin telling him that his parents no longer wanted him is sketchy, at least from the standpoint of the boy's behavior. Even if it turns out that the boy though he was a willing participant, he's a minor child, and therefore not legally accountable for his behavior; Devlin is. He is very likely to have been severly manipulated psychologically, if not also sexually abused.
I don't think a grown man kidnaps adolescent boys to have the wholesome, Little League experience.
After 4 years with this pervert, any kid would feel dirty, worthless and seriously mentally messed up.
The boy's life was not uncomfortable. He didn't have to go to school, got to eat pizza all the time, had a cell phone, a girl friend, played video games all day. I don't want to say that this was "Shawn's Excellent Adventure" and I know that he cried out so loud that the police came and couldn't find the source of the noise (which is absolutely unbelievable considering that it was a repeat experience). However, he probably grew to care for the guy as he had no apparent responsibilities and alot of stuff and freedom.
It's vile, sick and disgusting, had this piece of sludge done this to my child, I would not be responsible for what I would do to this person.
