I have no doubt they found child porn on his computer, but there's are varying levels of "finding child porn on his computer." It's one thing to have folder after folder, hundreds or thousands of pictures of children in sexual poses, dress or activities. It's quite another to find the person has opened an email from time-to-time that displays such pictures. Every image you view on your computer ends up on the hard drive as part of the system's caching activities. That does not mean you viewed the material and certainly doesn't mean you collect such filth.

I have had the same email address for almost 15 years and during that time I've ended up on a LOT of email lists, many of which are obscene (to say the least!). They can be pretty sneaky in their attempts to trick the reader into at least opening their message. When I make that error I simply close the message and delete it. Anything that displayed as a photo in the message remains on my hard drive. I NEVER reply by asking them to remove me from the list! That simply confirms for them that you are a real person who checks the email. That moves your name from their B list to the A list. The A list costs a lot more than the B list.

Bullcrap. Caches are rotated over time. When was the last time you visited a website that displayed child porn? When was the last time you got an email with child porn on it?

I've been on the Internet since 1994 and the answer is NEVER.

Sorry but 1, catching the guy with two missing young buys plus 1, child porn on his computer = 2, a peadophile. Always has always will; your excuses are irrelevant.

Even if you don't open it and delete it, it can still be "found" on your computer. When people say porn was "found" on a computer it's meaningless unless thy say WHERE on the computer it was found. Obviously finding pictures in a folder called "Last weeks's BBQ pics" is different than in a deleted mail/spam folder. Even finding it in a browser cache needs further clarification, as sometimes nasty popup windows can be spawned by accident when going to rogue sites.

If someone's browser is filled with the stuff showing an effort by the owner to find the material it's one thing, spam or accidential popups is another.

I said the same thing too right after I accidently kidnapped an 11 year old boy for sex and brainwashing.
