Hope everyone doesn't whine and moan about how "they" are winning.

Don't forget, it's a battle. This is supposed to happen.

Sgt. York didn't cry that he was being shot at.

I hope more and more parents realize that the public school system is really doing alot of damage to their kids. I mean, they have creating doubt about God down to a science...literally. Although the educators don't realize that. They have just been brainwashed into believing the evolution false teaching given to them. But the evidence is here for all to see and it is so much more interesting and fun than bad science.

--It's the symbolism that the school hates.--

They said that she could wear a cross as a pin.

It actually says "lapel badge" and mentions that she just recently got the necklace as a present from her father. In other words, they knew about the ban before she got the necklace.

Also, this school is oversubscribed so I am sure they knew about the rules before she got in. OTOH, the inspection reports give the school unsatisfactory ratings in religious studies.

I'm not poking fun at the UK to get my mind off of things in America. I read the news every day and would agree that we have big problems over here. As you point out, the American population voting for the democrats, and the anti-American Pelosi, is not a good sign of things to come.

Frankly, I feel that both the UK and US are on the same path. Right now, America is just the healthiest patient in the cancer ward. A few more years of drinking the multi-culturalism, ROP, PC Koolaid and we'll be right there with you.

But to suggest that America is worse off than Europe is ridiculous. When we have our own Choudry's demonstrating in the street with signs that say 'America is the cancer, Islam is the answer', when "youths" torch a hundred cars a night and when our film makers are killed in the street I might be more inclined to agree.

This is a British fiasco, but I don't rule out such a thing happening in an American school.

This happened to a friend's child who was in the 8th grade. Only difference is that it was in a Catholic school and the offending article was a scapular. THe boy's parents protested and he is allowed to wear it.

I think anyone with a desire to see just a little reality can find out that evolution has very big holes in it. The fossils showing a gradual change of one species to another are not in the fossil record. Some diehard scientists will point to certain fossils as being transitions but one cannot tell at all that they are. It's pure wishfull thinking on their part. If evolution were true there would be so many types of animals clearly morphing into others and the debate would have been very clearly over with.
Toe is simply a tool of the darkside to try and create a doubt about God and creation in the minds of students. The proponents of it are just useful tools for the darkside and it gives them false ideas of why it's true in their minds. As further evidence that...the creation theory is not allowed to be taught alongside toe eventhough it is a theory with much scientifically observed facts which support it. Toe doesn't want any critical competition. That just wouldn't due for a very wobbly theory.

"You laugh but banks in England stopped giving kids piggy banks because Muslims found it offensive."

England is gone. It is a lost cause.

People are already self-banning the cross in the US.  During Christmas the US Bank Centre skyscraper here in Seattle has an elaborate gingerbread-house style exhibit of elaborate, edible "Christmas" creations.  They really are quite impressive.

This year, one of them was a "Kwanzaa"-Hanukkah-Christmas themed creation.  In the gingerbread house there was a little sign that had the Star of David (not a menorah), the African "Kwanzaa" symbol (not a corn stalk) and a Christmas tree (NOT a cross).

The discrimination was subtle, but obvious.

Ironically, last year the display was interesting because walking from my house to my job - through the heart of downtown Seattle - the ONLY place where the actual word "Christmas" could be casually seen was on one of the gingerbread displays.

It was on the gingerbread house called "A Very Muppet Christmas".

Imagine that.

I'm not even Christian and this situation annoys me.

Expressions of sympathy is a weak debating tactic. It demeans the other person, and offers absolutely no defense of your debating position.

I had no intention of debating him. He was so far out that there was no merit in wasting my time.
