I still only see 7.7 magnitude on USGS quake website.

I wonder if the 8.4/8.3 reports are wrong. That is a huge difference. 7.7 is barely enough to make a tsunami, 8.4 would make a big one

Let's pray for lesser in this case.

Our high tide here on the Oregon coast is at around 2:30 am 7.7 ft high and the tsunami advisory is for 4:45 a.m.

Crud now I am not going to be able to sleep. Oh I forgot I am a day sleeper.

It will be sunrise/dawn here and the rare snow we had that is now a layer of ice won't allow me to look out at the water.
