It will pretty certainly lead to trouble of some kind.
Marc Steyn in "America Alone" suggests that since Russia is aborting itself into extinction, with a reproduction rate of only 1.1 children per woman, and since the average Russian male dies at the age of 55 because of bad health, China will probably move into Siberia and take over the minerals there, and perhaps Russian women as well.
That makes sense.
