I think that if had an important lead for a kidnapping, I would have found some phone to use, if mine were broken.

No, there are too many inconsistencies in this couple's story, and I have thought so from day 1.

I also want to add that even though the apt complex was a short walk from the police station. Devlin knew many of the cops in the area because of his job and the way Devlin's sick mind work there is no doubt that he made sure that Devlin knew this and that the police would never believe him he went to them.

For those of you that don't know about Kirkwood. Kirkwood is like small congested mini city within the county of St. Louis. It is an old township that had things grow in around it. Downtown Kirkwood used to look like a small country city downtown before St. Louis county expanded out. The road that goes through there actually cuts down 2 lanes when you go through downtown Kirkwood because the old building where built right a the road edge. It is really a unique township and many of the houses sit on large lots but there are congested areas in it. It used to be the main train depot and artery for passenger trains back in the old days. The old train depot is still there and is a historic landmark now. I believe Amtrack still uses the depot.
