Billionaire owner of Snapple, Arby's, and TJ cinnimon, Nelson Peltz is currently locked into a proxy battle with H.J. Heinz Corporations board of directors. When Heinz sold StarKist to Del Monte, the terms resulted in Heinz stockholders becoming 74.5% owners of the new Del Monte. Peltz, H.J. Heinz' principle non-family shareholder, is attempting to increase his influence within the company by obtaining another proxy seat. To better his cause, Peltz has enlisted the help of business/real estate investor Paul Pelosi, Nancy's husband. Paul Pelosi's portfiolio includes 3 huge Napa Valley properties in addition to a 17 million dollar position in the H.J. Heinz corporation.
Gotta just love the party of the little guy, don't ya?

While your time-line is significantly flawed, the Pelosi connection with the ongoing Sea-Lion/H.J. Heinz War is an important developement.
As most know the population of Alaskan Sea-Lions has been declining at a significant rate since the early 70s, experts put the figure at an 80% decline. The early 70s was an important period in this conflict due to The H.J Heinz Corporation's acquisition of the StarKist Tuna canning business. Shortly after acquiring StarKist, H.J. Heinz classified it as a 'subsidiary business' and relocated from its sea-side California base, closer to H.J. Heinz' Sharpsberg, Pennsylvania home. The move wasn't political in nature, it was concieved and executed by Heinz Directors to shore up some distribution synergies.
The move, however, did have unintended consequences. While the Alaskan Sea-Lion waned, due to the extensive poaching of available tuna (The Sea-Lion's principal prey), the California Sea-Lion population enjoyed healthy growth, as Heinz increased its canning of East Coast tuna.

The significance of the relationship between the population growth of the California Sea-Lion and the Heinz buyout and subsequent relocation of Starkist, was not lost on the Sea-Lions.
Fast forward to 2003. The H.J. Heinz corporation, in response to a decline in the compounded annual growth of its revenues, decieded to sell off, in a closed market all-stock transaction, a number of its packaged foods businesses. Among which, was StarKist Tuna.

StarKist's new parent corporation is now Del Monte Foods. Del Monte's base of operations? Thats right, San Fransisco, California.

The timeline of Del Monte's acquisition of StarKist coincides exactly with the increased Sea-Lion attacks on Californians mentioned in the article. For a while the Sea-Lion was content with the occasional retalitory murder, obviously trying to scare the Del Monte brass. However, recent events have caused the Sea-Lion to take more drastic tactics, i.e.taking out a 50 foot yacht in San Fransisco harbour. Enter the Pelosi connection.

This is all factual data. I can provide more links later.
It appears that the Sea-Lion's are fighting back; take out a few people and stop them from buying tuna, they tried that and it didn't do much. Now they are stepping up their attacks. Taking out San Fransisco's marina, accomplishes a number of military goals. 1) They are hitting the economic infrastructure that enables Del Monte and Heinz to make money by fishing the very tuna that the Sea-Lions need to survive. 2) They send a message to Del Monte and Heinz principle shareholder Nelson Peltz, get StarKist out of San Fran, or we'll f**k with the constituency of your boy Pelosi's bitch.
Not a problem, Paul Pelosi doesn't talk to Nancy either. Plausible denaibility is good enough for MSM where dems are concerned. Is it plausible that Paul doesn't speak to Nancy? Sadly, I would have to say yes.
As in Teresa Heinz-Kerry???
Why does that just figure?
