Doesnt the Bible have some rather nasty things to say about the fate in the after life of those who cause divisions in the church

No, it doesn't. In fact, while unfortunate, Paul pretty much considered disagreements unavoidable.
The Bible DOES, however, take a rather firm line about those who preach a false Gospel, which is almost certainly at issue with Jew-Hater Carter and If-it-Feels-Good-Do-It Clinton.

There are six things "the Lord hates," including "a heart that devises wicked plans
a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren" (Prov. 6:16-19).

Yes,...and there are millstones involved, if I recall correctly.
The likes of Carter and Clinton are Secular Humanists. They probably would refute the existence of evil and of Hell.
Unfortunately, Jesus mentioned these things on numerous occasions. I'm guessing my Evangelical friends could quote exactly where and how many times Our Lord mentioned such things.
