Pretty impressive stuff. Here's a link to a video of a presentation of the technology Prof. Bussard recently did at Google's headquarters.

radiation-free fusion process that could change the world as we know it today. And an all purpose laundry cleaner that gets out grass stains and softens your hands while you do the dishes.
I'm really skeptical about "amazing new science" stories, especially with respect to fusion technologies.

The Dems are already trying to find a way to tax it and claim it causes global warming or cooling...

I bet he just needs a couple million dollars from investors to get his idea off the ground. I'm taking a shot in the dark here because I didn't read the article but most of these claims come with that statement. Am I right?

This is potentially huge.
Wonder why this isn't getting more play if it really does a fraction of what it claims...

Simply because we've heard the same claim year after year - over and over.
Instead of press releases, demonstrate it.

Of course even if he gets his funding he will fail because big oil and big coal will have conspired against him.

You can put the Mr. Fusion next to the Mr. Biodiesel on the kitchen counter.

I thought the name looked familier. This guy's the real deal:
"He is the former Assistant Director to the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission and has held prominent positions at Los Alamos National Laboratories, Oakridge Labs, and TRW Systems.
Besides developing this year's winning technology, Dr. Bussard is also known for conceiving the Bussard ramjet, an interstellar spacecraft powered by hydrogen fusion using hydrogen collected from the interstellar gas utilizing a magnetic field"

I'm really skeptical about "amazing new science" stories, especially with respect to fusion technologies.I usually am, too, but the International Academy of Sciece is a pretty serious and significant organization. Ergo, this is probably very real. In which case, it's huge! One question, though: How hard is it to product Boron-11? Anyone know?
