Pretty much along the lines of the Dems talking point

1/3 Along Syria border to block terrorists coming in routes, 1/3 training Iraqis, 1/3 holding sections down after the grunt works done, so the jihadis can't move back in?

"Iraqi needs to show it really wants a free country and are willing to fight for it and that he's had enough of soldiers being killed"

The Iraqi people have been beaten down like dogs for years. It's hard to stand up when that happens too long.

Don't forget they(the Iraqi people) believed us the 1st time we went over there and look what happened. This is going to take some time.

At times, in my heart, I think it is awful that our men and women have died, and my heart breaks for them and their families. Then I think about the fact that they joined the military and they accepted everything that comes with it. They know it will take time, but the American people don't seem to understand that fact.

Iraqi needs to show it really wants a free country and are willing to fight for it and that he's had enough of soldiers being killed.

To date since March 2003, the Iraqi security forces, military and police, have had 5,953 killed, which is more than twice what we have lost do to hostile action, i.e., 2,627. In 2006, the Iraqis have lost 2,091 killed compared to our 751 KIAs. Iraqis are fighting and dying for their country. To ignore or minimize their sacrifice is not helpful in our war effort. I hope Bush recognizes their sacrifice tonight.
