Goshdarn it Torie, don't get me started. He was NOT slow on Katrina! I watched the whole thing unfold and I saw what happened. Just because the media says something and Shep Smith cries on TV doesn't make it so!!

He couldn't do this until he got Maliki to agree to it because Iraq is a sovereign country!! And Maliki probably didn't feel any sense of urgency until he saw the results of our election!

Interestingly, Huckabee is doing a good job now and sounds like he understands the situation quite well....certainly better than Vilsack!

That was part of Malikis come home to Jesus moment, the other part is that Blair is out and Britain will be going home.

It's now or never....

Sorry, I don't agree with you, and I was watching the whole story unfold in real time, and bitching about it, right on this forum. Is that not the case John and DS?

On Maliki, I would have demanded he jettison Sadr, and get real about taking on sectarian violence in an even handed way, and get moving on cooperating in creating and deploying Iraqi troops to do it, and stop interfering with US troops movements, or I would move to partition, and effectively liquidate his government. It would have been a come to Jesus moment. Bush just isn't mean enough; he just isn't. Now Maliki is moving, because Bush is on the ropes, and he knows that time is running out. I would have made clear that time was running out many months ago. I have been unhappy with Bush on Iraq for some time, and have come out of the closet and so posted now for several months. That is my opinion.

Miss Marple, anyone who blames what happened after Katrina on President Bush is so unintelligent that they aren't worth the time of day. Of course, that's just my opinion. ;)

Amen Marple, how many 24 hour hurricane threads were we on?
Biggest rescue in history... no credit. Warned them repeatedly to get folks out from the Tuesday before the storm came... didn't do anything, and Blance never... till this day requested help, just money.

I get real tired (as i'm sure you do), of explaining history and the MSM to folks here... of all places.
