O'Reilly gets a lot of bad press here but sometimes he just says things that ordinary people can hear - I don't mean freepers but just ordinary people like parents - he is not all bad at all.

It was correct of O'Reilly to point out that no matter what happens we will never get honest press coverage. However, he still couldn't resist the urge to try to "have it both ways". In that very same clip he also stated that although President Bush had not received fair treatment from the media, "the media are not responsible for the debacle in Iraq". That statement by O'Reilly is flatly incorrect. The media bear a huge portion of the responsibility for the current situation.

You are correct. I was making tea when he said that and by the time I got back I had forgotten.

I personally liked my idea I had this morning. The President should speak to the people every couple of weeks, and if the networks don't give him airtime he should just CONFISCATE air time on NPR and PBS.
