They don't know what the white smoke is in Texas, they don't know what killed birds, they don't know where the smell in NY is coming from and we don't know if this C4 is a serious matter or not yet. Are we that stupid of a nation or does someone know what's going on and keeping it from us little people??

I live and work in downtown Manhattan and just returned from midtown--I don't smell anything, but this was the first time I've been outside today. The official word is to not be worried, but as Shep rightly said, when a smell coats an entire island, it's hard to just take the advice to "not worry about it."

Official word: blue skies. My take (alone with everyone else in the city): who knows?

actually the bump is what happens after you use it to warm your beans and franks and stomp it out instead of allowing it to burn out unmolested.......stomping on burning C4 will move your jungle boot to a point above your steel pot.

It makes more sense than adjourning for a football game. There are too many weird things happening all over the country, too many false alarms. Maybe it's all just designed to make everyone jittery, but maybe there is something bigger planned. Maybe that missing Indonesian jet isn't at the bottom of the sea.
