Breaking..suspicious device at port of miami..
I posted this comment after the one you read. "If what I just heard is correct, the explosion was only to open up the packaging. Once that is done, the cameras on the robot can get a better look at what is inside that package."
So now we're waiting to hear what was INSIDE that package now that they have opened it up through detonation. They may have used water to do that.
Over 60 dead birds in 10 blocks is what I heard.
I distinctly remember, in the days following 9/11, a story making the rounds that passengers on the doomed airliners were basically forced to make cell phone calls, because the terrorists didn't want to be denied their glory "this time." Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Well, what a mighty fine job the Miami Port authorities have done. They have caught 1 out of a 1000 of the trucks with dissenters who plan to blow the U.S. to pieces. And that's not counting the border jumpers who disguise themselves as Mexicans, complete with the correct language...
Location of shootings, NW 79th St. and 2nd Ave. is about 4-5 miles from the Port of Miami.
It's a rough section of town. Lots of drugs, gangs, gangbangers. Much of it is a ghetto area.
Shep thinks the smell up here in NYC has to do with the Giants and the Jets. Oh, that witty lad.
