Interesting article, blam. Thanks for posting it.
The article brought a question to mind that I've asked myself before. Has anyone else ever wondered what the difference is between grave robbing and the excavation of graves (and taking the loot) for archaeological purposes?

It's grave robbing if you don't have a government license to rob graves.

welllllll... graverobbing is when someone digs up ground that isnt theirs, and steals relics that arent theirs to sell to some unscrupulous third party. it would be analogous to breaking into someone's gold mine and taking their gold
archaeological digs are where people dig up ground that isnt theirs, and studies relics that arent theirs with results published in some sort of peer reviewed publication in order to increase the general knowledge of everyone, with the relics generally going to a museum or school of some sort

LOL I was aware of the technical differences between general grave robbing and archaelogical grave robbing. Seems to me that no matter what the reason was for digging into someone's grave and removing what is in it, the fact remains that the grave was "robbed" and that leaves one wondering about the morality of it all.
One of those things that makes you go, "hmmmmmmmmm". :)
