No, I am not disappointed that it wasn't a bomb. I am furious that we are getting hysterical reporting and/or cover-up by the feds.

Hysterical reporting has been the norm since Katrina.

Something doesn't seem right. Why was it necessary to hold a press conference?

Hysteria by the press is the norm. It's nothing new and it's what they do. It's also useful to observe that the press reports on ANY topic are *always* wrong at some level. Not just almost always, but *always*. Reporters value immediacy more than accuracy, and sensationalism over sense.

Stuff like this is always going to happen when people that have no idea what they're talking about are the ones selecting and filtering what they hear and pass on to us, and just like the whisper-game... get it at least a little wrong in the process.

I wouldn't bet on a cover-up by the Feds. They want to be the big hero (and that's OK) and would love a chance to trumpet a big find on live TV. There's no point in covering up stuff like this.
