Doubt this will show up in any major news.

Could be something on the Golf Channel, tho!

CA....

Down here in the graet state of TEXAS traveling with a loaded firearm is expected and encouraged.

Both my trucks have factory gun holders!

They were lucky that they figured out if it was loaded.

Seriously, any AK variant MUST be stripped to figure out if is indeed 'full auto'. And, once more, the inspector has to know what he or she is doing.

There are several mods that will not be easy to detect and , of course, a semi-gun can be MADE to test fire auto in the hands of the right arms room guys.

10 years in club-fed may be leverage for the hard-working boys and girls to squeeze this mo mo.

The guy sounds like a no-goodnik. I mean- GOLFING!??

Dang straight! An unloaded firearm is worse than a rock. It's much harder to aim and throw accurately.

I remember reading an article in Outdoor Life way back when. It was by Jack O'Connor and the gist of it was that he would shoot rockchucks on an Idaho golf course before the golfers arrived to play.

I'd really like to find a copy of that article.

Very respectfully,

That article says "fully automatic", but also doesn't mention any charges on the federal laws. No tax stamp, importing w/o a license, and so on.

Personally I still have... well ... call it a romantic attachment to the old, slow 7.62x39 bullet for my AK47. I know all the specs for the 74, and it'll be a cold day when a 7.62x39 can punch through a kevlar vest, but there is something about it that still gets me.
