It's telling when Democrats prove more conservative than their Republican counterpart.

Yes... yes it is.

While I have no respect for anyone who decided to sit out the midterm election because their Republican candidate(s) was RINO(except in the case of Lieberman), the line between the two parties on MANY core issues has become blurred. The Republican party is now being led by big-government nanniests like Collins, Snowe, Specter, McCain, Warner, Graham and Lugar. The whole lot turns my stomach.

Bush also has a role in this mess... but to be fair... we chose Bush because he was the best for all of us in 2000 and 2004. He is defending our nation at a time when others in America would leave us at the mercy of evil.

In the end, it all comes down to the primaries... and I guess we have to start from there.

This sort of politician is a natural consequence of our culture. We have been turned into "consumers of government," (and of course government services) rather than citizens.

The disgusting toads referenced in your post have merely recognized the phenomenon. After the blip of Ronald Reagan on our historical radar, we are going back to the era when all the conservatives in the country could have (and often did) meet on the poop deck of William F. Buckley's "Cyrano."

Perhaps these RINOs will win an election or two, but don't expect to notice any major difference betwen one side of the aisle or the other. Keep up the good fight locally.
