8. Not only does that make you and your ilk a large part of the problem, but it also makes you a fool.

A fool would be someone who has capitulated. Not me. I DO want them all deported. It's your ilk that have let the problem get out of hand through capitulation.

3. From where I sit, it is you hysterics rigidly demanding only the most Draconian measures -- and viciously turning on everyone who doesn't see things EXACTLY your way -- who have made it impossible to find a reasonable solution during a period when we might well have done so. Now our chance is lost, quite probably forever.

Any chance was lost when Bush took office. He had no intention of ever controlling illegal immigration even after we were attacked.

6. Down to reality: The mean, ugly, downright stupid behavior of people like you has alienated not only those who are on the opposite side of you politically; not only independents who potentially are open to any of several solutions; but large numbers of us who are your natural political allies.

Just remember. It's been you posting this vitriol. Not me. Did you even read the report from the Heritage Foundation? I doubt it. Those two paragraphs were a synopsis of the report. Look at the data and see if you are not advocating a permanent second class. Because that's what's coming. The only way out of it now is to spend tax money to support them which is what we have been doing. It's only going to get worse with leagalization. Then they will be entitled to much more of our tax dollars. But, you go ahead and pretend that a "reasonable solution" will actually solve anything.

I DO want them all deported.

Indeed. Well, chump, even if by some bizzaroland set of circumstances, your heroes, Pat Buchanan and Tom Tancredo were to become president and vice president, the Mexican border -- let's be honest, that's the only border you're talking about -- would never be closed. Nor would all illegal immigrants ever be deported.

Quite apart from the fact that ours is a tripartite federal government, and that no president can operate totally on his own, folks with your mindset appear to have zero understanding of the role state and local governments have in encouraging illegals. It is they who control the street cops, who are instructed not to check legal status. It is they who provide sanctuary; who allow illegals to openly congregate at places like Home Depot; and who turn a blind eye to illegals flooding the construction and other trade industries.

You and all the other loudmouths who fulminate on FR and possibly other internet forums are wasting your time here. You could do something constructive, such as organizing like-minded individuals in your own neighborhoods and towns to attend your city council meetings en masse to let them know your demands as regards illegal immigration. But I doubt very much that people like you have the courage to come out into the sunshine of public activism in your local community.
