Appeasement will be our defeat Ping!
I was going to ask WHY this isn't taught in history class...but then we already know why, don't we? Thanks for the ping, Pharmboy...I'm glad I didn't miss this lesson in history!
This should be memorized by EVERY Freedom loving individual in the world!
ISLAM
that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise. How will we ever defeat our enemy when we refuse to acknowledge who our enemy is?

Thank you for this very important ping Jan!
I have bookmarked it for further study.
America tried appeasement. In 1784, Congress agreed to fund tributes and ransoms in order to rescue US ships and buy the freedom of enslaved US sailors.
So CONgress has always been stupid! I am grateful we have a President with a bachelors in history.
that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners
What say you and I start a cult religion and claim we should own the planet earth and it is against our law to say otherwise.
Hey, it has worked for the islamofacists for 1400 years.

I was going to ask WHY this isn't taught in history class...but then we already know why, don't we? Way back during the Barbary Wars we had already learned, by bitter experience, a policy of appeasing mohamMADans absorbed in the teachings and carrying out the objectives of their "holy book" and examples of their so-called "prophet" will always be doomed to fail.
Surrendering to islamic ideology and it's unsatisfiable quest for expansion, domination and subjugation and is not an option, unless that is, you consider slavery a virtue.
It's bad many have forgotten that valuable lesson - but not too late to remind them.
"Millions for defense, not a penny for tribute!"

Thanks for the ping Jan!
Islam is our enemy, not because we have made Islam our enemy, but because Islam has made ALL non-Muslims their enemy. Islamic War is being waged against us by every possible means. We are slow to recognize it for two reasons.
1) It is not total war such as the world witnessed in the two World Wars.
2) We fool ourselves into believing all people will accept the rationale for peaceful coexistence despite differences.
The present state of Islamic War being waged against us is very similar to the Cold War. Where the Soviet bloc faltered and eventually collapsed, Islam will not simply collapse. Islam must be defeated entirely.
The present Islamic means of warfare include armed engagement wherever they perceive weakness, diplomatic entanglement, economics, courting the betrayal by our elected, the use of our own laws and courts against us, colonizing our nation, financing terrorism against the masses, misrepresenting their intentions, and the financing of non-Muslim leaders that will hold to policies of appeasement.
There is no greater threat to world peace, nor has there ever been a greater threat than that which Islam poses.

His (Jefferson's) use of extreme force in crushing the enemy was a lesson that we would do well to repeat, But, but, but, Jefferson is the father of the modern democrats, a church-hating liberal, how could this be? < /sarc >

Because I believe that the best way to defeat the enemy is to know your enemy, two years ago I downloaded a copy of the koran and tried to read it.
It is the most boring, droning, and most of all rambling cr4p I've ever read. I got about 20% of the way through it and couldn't stand any more of it. I erased if from my harddrive. I think I'd rather read Dianetics, it couldn't be any worse and was actually written by a professional writer.
