Granted, these young men appear to be suffering some unjust consequences. But, the damage to their reputations isn't unjust.
By and large, we all deserve whatever damage is done to our reputations. Walter Williams said much the same just the other day when he subbed for Rush.
Rush is a bonafied loser ~ knew him when he worked here at a local station ~ used to go around town with a bodyguard (yeah, hype yourself, Rush baby ~ Sactown's a dangerous place... uh huh) ~ what a joke. Anywho, your argument is not valid ~ a reputation as a rapist, which is I think what you are talking about, is only deserved if you are one.
As for me, their reputations in my book have changed dramatically. I'll be the first to admit to a certain "mindset" when I formally thought of "jocks" - but these guys have proven themselves to be made of sturdier stuff than I could ever have imagined. Throughout this, they have behaved with honor and class. I think they're great.
