My kids are grown and out of the house and I'm single. I keep all but one bedroom closed up with the vents closed. The only thing I use is one bedroom, one bathroom, the kitchen and the garage. I don't even use the living or family rooms. I could use a lot smaller house, but I'd still want my big lot and big garage and shop.

And there are a lot of people just like you, I believe. I have some good designs. And I understand that older people usually like to have gardens and workshops.

(I've never paid for sex in my life. And that's really pissed off a lot of prostitutes.)

Our situations are similar. I'm a single empty nester. I downsized four years ago to a 1600 sq ft 3 bedroom with a study. It's more than I need, but it's very difficult to go much smaller in my area and be in a good neighborhood. I looked at townhomes but they cost more per sq ft here, you have to pay HOA dues and I don't want to share walls.

Now that my kids are almost grown, I was thinking of those little cottages that Homedepot/Lowes sell. All I need is a little land and move one of those on there. I have decided I want a hottub though.
I wanted some land for the dogs too. They can get out and run and chase rabbits & such.
