the one thing I see, and it truly amazes me every time, is the "stonewall" faces of the military..they approach it as a true honor be be there escorting the body and do so with a professionalism that is beyond words..God Bless Them..and God Bless Gerald Ford..

Amen. I am as moved by the military honor guard as I am by the fact that President Ford has passed on and this is his casket. My respect for our military deepens every day.

yes, my husband was saying that back at Reagan's funeral and now this one. Their precision and professionalism is beautiful.

My nephew, who is just back from Iraq, watched the funeral for Ronald Reagan and said that he wants to someday be a part of an honor guard that participates in one of these Washington occasions.

I guess one has to be a VERY highly regarded troop to do that.
