Reporting there is a pretty good crowd, 2-4 deep in places.
It's cold and the TV lights are blinding.
"It's fitting to pay tribute to President Ford at the WWII Memorial," Kristinn says.
He will try to get pics and post them later, but doesn't feel they will come out due to the flood lights.
Hi JAN! Thanks for the report! I thought he might be there. Good to know. If you can remember, please ping me to his thread. Fingers crossed that his photos will be good enough to post.
Tell 'em to offer up a salute for all of us not in the nation's capital.
Does he have a thread going...or are you just talking to him on the phone??
If you are talking to him...thank him for what he is doing, (once again)...and that I will look forward to any pictures he can get.
Hi Justa, Freee-dame and I went to the WWII Memorial but we did not see Kristinn. By the time the procession came by we were very close to the front row of viewers, and we could clearly see a part of the flag-draped casket inside the hearse as it was stopped for the moments of Salute.
