The President's plane is arriving at Andrews Air Force Base at this moment.
Sounds like a replay of vacations when he was President and one in which he made a point of buying a book for Monica one minute and dancing on the beach with sHillary the next.
Ok...could Chuck Schumer get any closer to the camera?
They did the same to Betty
Betty has tremendous dignity.
I hope when he has his services at the National Cathedral, the Bishop isn't much involved. He is the former Dean of St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in San Diego and a big Lib.
We know some scouts who will be there. He served west Michigan as our representative for so many years, much longer than his pesidency was.
Chris Wallace now mentioniong the importance of President Ford in the lives of the Cheney's.
WOW..we do think alike sometimes.
I have told my husband that I not only don't want a "funeral", but I don't even want an obituary in the newspaper...
He is a VET..and we have a beautiful, new, National Cemetary here...and so that is where he and I will be buried..but, I do not want any ceremony.
What!!!!!! Why would she be on?
Yes, it was, I agree. I am deeply moved by all this.
Chills are allowed; here are the words for the song played (Christian Reformed version):
Holy Spirit, light divine,
Shine within this heart of mine;
Chase the shades of night away,
Turn my darkness into day.
Holy Spirit, power divine,
Cleanse this guilty heart of mine;
Long has sin without control,
Held dominion o'er my soul.
Holy Spirit, joy divine,
Cheer this saddened heart of mine;
Bid my many woes depart,
Heal my wounded, bleeding heart.
Holy Spirit, all divine,
Dwell within this heart of mine;
Cast down every idol-throne,
Reign supreme, and reign alone.
pesidency=presidency
you mean upchuck..ugh
Yeah...that's the one.
Thank you very much for posting kristinn's report.
I was typing and missed seeing sschumer... thank you Lord.
That is what makes him so highly honorable: a life of public service to his country.
Yes, I noticed that
His casket is paused at the House Chambers
