"Accountants analyze family fiancés " - Hmm, and I thought it was best left to doctors and medical laboratories. And as to the success in school, there is only one key to it: IQ, or rather Spearman's g. Everything else is of statistically lesser importance, secondary. As a parable goes, a lazy monkey grabbed a branch and threw it in the air, to knock down some coconuts or bananas, and from such humble beginnings it later became a human. An industrious, diligent and hardworking monkey was [and still is] scampering up and down the tree - and remains a monkey.

"Former New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan said that the 5 keys to success.."

An additional key is the removal of liberal teachers to protect students from leftist brain-washing.

From your FR Page - Publisher of Homeschool Curriculum.

Yet; you have a lot of errors in your article. You don't smell right considering your first act after signing up is posting a vanity.

But; welcome to FR.

As William Buckley wrote of Daniel Moynahan in his obituary on Moynahan's death (and I paraphrase) "Moynahan always said precisely the right thing, and then voted exactly the opposite way."

So, I'm confused, you agree or disagree with the Senator?

I would love to see a comprehensive analysis of the economic impact two income households have had on America.

I'd like to see a comprehensive analysis of the economic impact of the birth control pill. It was this invention that allowed women to limit the number of children so that they could go outside the house to work. Not to mention the claptrap about 'controlling their own bodies' which is doublespeak for getting an abortion.

You put a lot of blame on public schools, and fairly so. I think they have failed many kids in many ways. But I put far more blame on the mainstream media that sensationalizes sex, thug life, violence, the demoralization of fathers and other authority figures, the blatant attacks of conservatives, the idolization of 'gimme gimme gimme' and the notion of instant gratification.

The influence of the mainstream media is so over-whelming and pervasive that we almost forget its power over the country. At least we are allowed to turn our televisions off. How long before that is a crime?

Former New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan said that the 5 keys to success in school are:

1. Number of days the child attends school.

...

3. Number of pages of homework read (or done).

Spending more time is not quality. Spending more money is not quality either. Spending other people's time and money with no interest in the outcome is the foundation of liberalism in education as in everything else, so at least we are being consistent.

5. Number of hours of television watched.

I wish the experts would make up their mind. Friends of mine were turned down by one adoption agency because they didn't have a TV.

Public education is to prepare the children for work in the corporate environment. Evidently it is successful even though it also produces politically clueless citizens.
