If the Republican party wants to go more to the middle and more socialist to get elected, so be it. If they win, it's what other people wanted. That's what other people will get without my conservative help.
You see, I'm not liberal. I'm not socialist. On the contrary, I feel the Republicans are going too far left already for my tastes. If Rudy or McCain get the nomination, I'll just find something else to do until someone who represents my beliefs get's nominated. That's how a representative republic works.
It is amazing how a robust campaign makes sentiments such as yours in time become inoperative. Few really act out their intentions to waste their vote or not vote, by failing to pick a real contender in a presidential election. We are all free to choose of course. That is our right. But in the end, most voters are Baysians. They parse the odds, and make their vote count. What is left are the truly indifferent or totally disaffected. They rarely amount to much in the vote count.
Well, then don't vote for them.
Call Nancy and Harry, they'll listen, I'm sure.
You all need to learn the art of doing THE POSSIBLE.
And that is NOT how a Representative Republic works at all. I suggest that you take the time to find out just HOW it does work.
