I think the GOP, as a formal organization, is not allied with conservatives in the least.
Country-Club Rhinos control the GOP and have little room for---what they view as---'rock-the-boat' conservatives. I think most GOP leaders are really staunch "moderates."

Joe and Pat are two of my favorites. To paraphrase Reagan, I didn't leave the GOP . . . .
If you want to see Saddam being hung, look in the dictionary next to the definition of anticlimactic.
He should have been shot in his hole. But ultimately it makes no difference. The place has been FUBAR for so long now it's not funny. Only the Bushbots and the Pep Rally Psychos seriously believe there's still something to be gained from all of this.
