Holy Cannoli! I had no clue it was such a large venue. Obviously a reasonable amount of people were there to view both for justice and to be witness to the fact that Sadaam will never rule again. It reminds of the Army General in World War II when he was asked why the US Army was filming the Nazi death camps. He said something to the effect - "I believe we need to film this to prove that it actually happened because someone will surely try to deny these attrocities."
