"Speaking of daughters, is it true that Saddam wouldn't see his daughter even after she asked to see him?"

So I've heard. He probably doesn't want her to remember him like that. If she doesn't see it, deep down, she won't really believe it. Bastrich might have one or two human cells, after all.

Didn't Saddam have her husband killed after tricking him to come back to Iraq (the husband had been hiding out with the daughter after trying to off Saddam or something).

Saddam spared the daughters (there were two of them involved in this little adventure) but tricked the sons-in-law into coming back where he personally put bullets into their heads.

Maybe the daughter was coming back to off her old man before the Iraqi government could.
