Makes sense. Saturday is a Muslim holiday, so they need to hang him before sunrise. And probably get him down afterward, as well.
Jewish holidays start at sundown the day before. Christian holidays start at midnight. I guess Muslim holidays must start at dawn, judging by these news driblets.
