Thanks for your reply, but I think that a blanket rule of 25 or so years for stuff is better than having no time limit at all, as it forces the government to rethink whether or not things should be classified. To me it boils down to my basic distrust of government, and the fact that they use the words "national security" as the root password to the Constitution far too often for my tastes. If they want to keep secrets from us willy-nilly, they should have to work for it.
