Yes, isn't it amazing what can be accomplished when you're willing to be productive instead of blowing yourself up?
I've often thought that part of the intensity of the conflict comes from the fact that the Israelis have done so much with the same land on which the Arabs have produced so little. Seems to me they turned a lot of barely arable land into an agricultural cornucopia. I'm probably exaggerating, but not much.
